Ehkä-tuotanto hakee ehdotuksia vuoden 2025 ohjelmistoon. Ehdotus voi olla esimerkiksi osatuotantona toteutettu kantaesitys, vierailuesitys, projekti, työpaja, keskustelu, tapahtuma, luento tai 1–2 viikon työskentelyresidenssi Nykytaidetila Kutomolla. Hakemuksia otetaan vastaan ensisijaisesti Suomessa asuvilta tanssi- ja esitystaiteen ammattilaisilta, jotka eivät ole täysipäiväisissä opinnoissa, ja hakijana voi olla yksittäinen taiteilija tai työryhmä.
Ohjelmistohaussa on tänä vuonna myös uusi nuoren tekijän kategoria tanssitaiteilijoille, jotka ovat valmistuneet korkeintaan kaksi vuotta sitten. Kategorian ehdotuksista valitaan yksi osatuotettava kantaesitysteos, joka toteutetaan yhteistyössä Läntisen tanssin aluekeskuksen kanssa.
Ehkä-tuotannon ohjelmisto rakentuu eri reittejä: avoimen haun, kutsumenettelyn ja eri toimijoiden välisen yhteistyön kautta. Yhteisön käytössä olevat resurssit ovat rajalliset ja harkinnanvaraiset. Ehkän eri produktioihin suuntama tuki määräytyy aina kulloinkin käytettävissä olevien taloudellisten edellytysten mukaisesti, jotka voivat vaihdella vuosittain. Toiminta perustuu yhteistyöhön, jossa tekijöiltä edellytetään omarahoitusosuutta ja omaa panosta työn kokonaistoteutuksessa.
Ehkä-tuotannon osatuottama kantaesitys vuonna 2025 sisältää taiteilijoiden palkkakuluja työskentelystä ja esiintymisestä (1–3 kk/tuotanto), Ehkän kotidramaturgin, yleisötyöntekijä-kirjoittajan ja teknisen vastaavan työpanosta, ennakko- ja teoskuvat, lipunmyynnin, lupamaksut, mainonnan sekä matka- ja muita tuotantokuluja. Tuotantoon kuuluu majoitus-, harjoitus- ja esitystila Nykytaidetila Kutomolla sekä tuottajien ja taiteellisen johtajan työpanosta. Vierailuesityksistä maksetaan 1–2 päivän palkka työskentelystä, esityskorvaukset ja kohtuulliset matkakulut sekä mahdollistetaan teoksen työstämistä Nykytaidetila Kutomolla. Työskentelyresidenssi sisältää taiteilijalle tai työryhmälle ilmaisen työtilan, asuintilat Nykytaidetila Kutomolla, matkakulukorvauksen Suomessa ja mahdollisuuden avata työskentelyä yleisölle avoimen presentaation tai muun tapahtuman muodossa.
Nuoren tekijän osatuotanto sisältää taiteilijoiden palkkakuluja työskentelystä ja esiintymisestä (2 kk/tuotanto), Ehkän kotidramaturgin, yleisötyöntekijä-kirjoittajan ja teknisen vastaavan työpanosta, ennakko- ja teoskuvat, lipunmyynnin, lupamaksut, mainonnan sekä matka- ja muita tuotantokuluja. Tuotantoon kuuluu majoitus-, harjoitus- ja esitystila Nykytaidetila Kutomolla sekä Ehkän tuottajien ja taiteellisen johtajan työpanosta. Tuotantoon sisältyy myös mm. tuotannollista sparrausta Läntisen tanssin aluekeskuksen toteuttamana.
Ehkä-tuotannon kuratoima ja ylläpitämä Nykytaidetila Kutomo sijaitsee vanhassa Lainnon kutomorakennuksessa Turun Linnanfältin alueella, ja koostuu kahdesta studiosta – Studio 1 ja Studio 2. Tila ei ole esteetön. Perehdythän tilojen soveltuvuuteen projektiisi liittyen ennen ehdotuksesi muotoilemista.
Hakuaika: 2.–29.4.2024
Esittele ehdotuksesi tiiviisti (max 2 sivua) ja sisällytä siihen myös rahoitussuunnitelma. Koosta työryhmän ansioluetteloista yksi tiedosto.
Kirjoita hakemuksen alkuun selkeästi seuraavat asiat:
– hakemasi yhteistyömuoto tai -muodot (esim. osatuotettu kantaesitys, nuori tekijä, vierailuesitys, residenssi, työpaja jne.)
– mahdolliset ajankohdat työn toteuttamiseen
– projektin työryhmä (nimet ja työtehtävät)
Vapaamuotoinen hakemus lähetetään sähköpostitse maanantaihin 29.4.2024 mennessä osoitteeseen info@ehka.net. Hakemus toimitetaan sähköpostin liitetiedostona pdf-muodossa (työsuunnitelma ja CV). Emme huomioi sähköpostikenttään kirjattuja tietoja. Nimeä liitteet selkeästi (hakijan nimi_työsunnitelma, hakijan nimi_cv).
Yleisen ohjelmistohaun valinnoista päättää Ehkä-tuotannon taiteellinen johtaja Anna Torkkel yhdessä dramaturgi Even Minnin kanssa. Nuoren tekijän kategoriassa päätöksen tekevät Anna Torkkel yhdessä Läntisen tanssin aluekeskuksen toiminnanjohtaja Sanna Meskan kanssa.

Open call for Ehkä-production’s 2025 program
Ehkä-production is looking for proposals for the year 2025 program. We welcome submissions for co-produced premieres, guest performances, projects, workshops, discussions, lectures, events, or one to two-week residencies at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo. We primarily accept proposals from Finland based professional dance and performance practitioners, who don’t study full-time. You can apply as an individual or as a working group.
This year the open call includes a new young maker’s category for dance artists who graduated no more than two years ago. From the proposals in this category, one piece will be selected and co-produced in collaboration with the Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland.
Ehkä-production’s program is developed through a variety of means: open calls, invitations, and through collaborations. The community’s resources are limited and discretionary. The production support provided by Ehkä is dependent on the availability of funds which may vary in amount from one year to the next. The co-production is based on a collaborative model in which the artist is required to provide partial funding of their own and commit to actively making the finished work.
During the year 2025, Ehkä-production’s co-produced premiere consists of the artists’ salaries for working and performing (1–3 months/production), the contribution of Ehkä’s house dramaturge, writer and technical manager, production photos, ticket selling, permit and copyright fees, advertising and expenses for travel and other costs related to production. The co-production includes accommodation, rehearsal, and performance space at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo and the support of the producers and artistic director of Ehkä. Guest performances are provided with 1–2 days’ salary, a performance fee, moderate travel expenses, and the use of the studio space at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo for a few days before the performance. The residency provides the artists with a free workspace, accommodation at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo, a fixed compensation for travel expenses in Finland, and the opportunity to open the ongoing work to the public in the form of a presentation or to arrange another appropriate event.
The young maker’s co-production consists of the artists’ salaries for working and performing (2 months/production), the contribution of Ehkä’s house dramaturge, writer and technical manager, production photos, ticket selling, permit and copyright fees, advertising and expenses for travel and other costs related to production. The co-production includes accommodation, rehearsal, and performance space at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo and the support of the producers and artistic director of Ehkä. The production also includes, among other things, production mentoring provided by the Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland.
Contemporary Art Space Kutomo, curated and managed by Ehkä-production, is located in the Lainto weaving building at Kalastajankatu in Turku. It consists of two studios – Studio 1 and Studio 2. The building is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users. Before formulating your proposal, please get acquainted with the space and your project demands.
Application period: 2–29 April 2024
Please make your proposal as compact as possible (max. 2 pages), and include a financing plan. Compile the CVs of the working group into one file.
Please state clearly at the beginning of your proposal the following:
– what kind of collaboration are you proposing (for example co-produced premiere, young maker, guest performance, residency, or workshop)
– possible dates for the project
– details about the working group (names and roles)
