Jana Unmüßigin Ponderings on the Materiality of Breathing (in physical experience and words) yhdistää työpajan ja luentoesityksen. Työpajaosuudessa syvennytään somaattisen kehon Perceptual Breathing -harjoitukseen, jossa oman hengityksen kuuntelu ja alttius löydetään liikkumattomuudesta ja mikrotason liikkeestä. Harjoitetta tehdään työpajassa myös äänen kanssa.
Päivän luentoesitys avaa Unmüßigin väitöstutkimusta hengityksen parissa. Tutkimus pohjaa taiteelliseen työhön, uuteen materialismiin (new materialism) ja Unmüßigin aiempiin esityksellisiin kokeiluihin kokeellisen koreografian kontekstissa. Luento sisältää puhetta ja videomateriaalia.
Tanssi- ja esitystaiteen ammattilaisille sekä kaikille asiasta kiinnostuneille suunnatun työpajan ja luentoesityksen kielenä on englanti.

Jana Unmüßig: Ponderings on the Materiality of Breathing (in physical experience and words)
Jana Unmüßig’s Ponderings on the Materiality of Breathing (in physical experience and words) combines a workshop and a lecture. In the workshop the participants engage with the somatic body Perceptual Breathing where listening to one’s breathing and allowance are valued in stillness and micro moving. The breathing is also coloured with voice and sound.
In addition, there is a lecture presented where Unmüßig reports on her research on breathing drawing from artistic research, new materialism and previous performative experiments in the context of experimental choreography. The lecture entails speaking and video.
The workshop and the lecture performance, both given in English, welcome professionals from the fields of dance and performance and everyone interested to take part.
