Mean Time Between Failures on taiteilijoiden Dash Chen ja Suvi Tuomisen vuonna 2019 perustama esitystaidekokonaisuus. Työryhmän jäsenet Dash Che, Sini Henttu, Oula Rytkönen ja Suvi Tuominen työskentelevät maaliskuussa Nykytaidetila Kutomon residenssissä FRACPTURING-teoksen parissa, joka saa ensi-iltansa Zodiak – Uuden tanssin keskuksessa syyskuussa 2023. Teoksen ydinkysymyksenä on kiihtyvien kuva- ja äänitulvien kerrostumat ruumiissa ja kysymys näyttämötilan virtuaalisesta nyrjäyttämisestä näytölliseksi.
Osana residenssityöskentelyä työryhmä jakaa residenssin aikana syntyneitä mahdollisia taiteellisia lähtöjä yleisölle avoimien ovien muodossa. Tapahtuman kielet ovat suomi ja englanti.

Mean Time Between Failures: FRACPTURING
Mean Time Between Failures is a performative entity formed by the artists Dash Che and Suvi Tuominen in 2019. Working group members Dash Che, Sini Henttu, Oula Rytkönen and Suvi Tuominen work at the artistic residency at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo in March with their piece FRACPTURING that premieres at Zodiak – Center for New Dance in September 2023. The core question of the piece is the accumulation of accelerating floods of images and sounds in the body and the question of the virtual crushing of the stage space into a screen.
As part of the residency work, the working group will share possible artistic outputs created during the residency with the public in the form of open doors. The languages of the event are Finnish and English.
