CARLO FOR EVER on tanssitaiteilija Anna Torkkelin ja esitystaiteilija Tashi Iwaokan yhdessä ideoima ja ohjaama sooloteos vapaudesta ja suklaasta. Esitys suhtautuu teemoihin sekä henkilökohtaisina että universaaleina aiheina. Teoksen esiintyjä on mahdottomien tehtävien äärellä oman ”vapautensa” vanki, joka kirjaimellisesti rimpuilee ristiriitojen keskellä. ”Carlo” on mentaalinen tila, jossa mieli vaeltaa ja kurkottelee kohti tavoittamatonta. Ja kuuntele, Sinulle lauletaan.
CARLO FOR EVER on Ehkä-tuotannon ensimmäinen teos ja samalla Torkkelin ja Iwaokan ensimmäinen yhteisohjaus, joka sai ensi-iltansa Muiderpoorttheaterissa Amsterdamissa toukokuussa 2005. Teos on osa vapautta ja sen rajoja eri näkökulmista käsittelevää trilogiaa, jonka muut osat ovat Olen lintu (Turku 2007) ja Ihana maailma! (Turku 2007).

CARLO FOR EVER, created and directed by dance artist Anna Torkkel and performance artist Tashi Iwaoka, is a solo piece about freedom and chocolate. The performance relates to the themes from both universal and very subjective points of view. The solo shows the performer as the prisoner of her own “freedom” who struggles amid contradictions trying to solve impossible tasks. “Carlo” is a mental state in which the mind goes around and reaches towards the unreachable. And listen, there is a song for You.
CARLO FOR EVER is Ehkä-production’s first piece, and also the first performance Torkkel and Iwaoka made in collaboration together. The solo premiered at Muiderpoorttheater in Amsterdam in May 2005 and is the first part of a trilogy of pieces with a different focus on the concept of freedom and its limits.
